What we do
Bathrooms, from a one-weekend tub swap to a gut to the studs. Most of the work here is one of a few jobs: a tub nobody uses turned into a walk-in shower, a 1960s hall bath with its original tile and cast-iron drain, a primary bath in a 2000s house whose builder-grade shower has started to leak, or a bathroom made safer for someone who wants to stay in the house.
The work that matters is the part nobody sees once the tile is up: the valve, the drain and its slope, the waterproofing behind the walls and under the pan, the blocking for grab bars, the fan ducted outside. In a climate this humid, that is the difference between a shower that lasts and one that grows mold behind the grout.
